About this book

Wedekind Family Photo Album, @1911 - 1915

Author: Wedekind Family

Year: 1911

Thick photo album with shiny, green covers held onto the album with many pieces of Scotch tape along the spine. There is a silhouette of a young woman in white ink in the upper left corner. There are white flowers towards the center of the front cover, and the words "Post Cards" in the bottom right corner. The photo album centers around Henry (Heinrich) Wedekind (Wedekin.) He was the father of Gertrude Wedekind Uhrbrand Wright, and Frances Wedekind Ziem. He was a popular Astoria photographer who had a studio on 520 Bond Street. This studio burnt in the Great Fire of 1922. Henry then worked Richard Ball and the Woodfield Studio. Many of the postcards have information written on the backs for future researchers to uncover. Size: 8" x 10"x 2"
