Sarah E. Heard continues as librarian through 1901 followed by Mabel T.S. Small through 1902 and Margaret E. Wheeler after that. A. W. Bennett is library clerk until Alfred W. Cutting takes over in 1892. The library hires a janitor and moves to a "new library building" in 1900. During this time, Eleanor Louise Jones is hired temporarily to implement the new "classified" Dewey system. The library buys a typewriter, a curio case for specimens and another case for "ancient books". The trustees deal with a law case concerning a bequest to the library by Sarah Marie Parsons. Elijah H. Atwood delivers books from Wayland Center to Cochituate, at least part of that time as an American Express agent. J. Charles Vincent is hired as janitor.
