August 1915 Issue of the Washington Chapel Chronicle, the monthly newsletter of the Washington Memorial Chapel in Valley Forge, PA. Progress on the Chapel Construction Significant progress has been made on the Washington Memorial Chapel, with the walls of the Nave now nearly complete, reaching within eight feet of the full height. The interior features beautiful clustered Indiana limestone columns, and the windows of the Choir Room have been installed. Work has begun on the New Hampshire Bay area, including concrete work in the cellar. The Altar, a single block of Indiana limestone weighing over eight tons, is a notable feature under construction. The heating plant installation is being prepared, and the Chancel work will proceed slowly due to intricate carved stonework. Valley Forge Museum and Ye Valley Forge Exhibit The museum, though smaller than some would like, is well-planned and accommodates its exhibits effectively. Curators Mr. Burk and Mr. Hart have organized the museum for ease of use, including the display of an old wooden forge, calipers, and a wooden compass made from a single piece of hickory, all donated by Mr. Samuel J.
