Description : This photograph/postcard is from the Ray and Viola Hunter Family Collection (1912-1999). Ray Golden Hunter (March 3, 1896 - July 29, 1969) was born in Flushing, MI. Viola May Thrasher (January 18, 1902-January 12, 1966) was born in Veedersberg, IN. They met each other in Sacramento, CA and got married on January 18, 1918. Ray Hunter served in the US Army during World War I from 1917-1918. They had two children, George Albert Hunter (May 18, 1920 - October 30,1942) and Betty Jane Hunter (January 26, 1924 - October 3, 2002). Ray and Viola Hunter had resided in various locations in the Sacramento region since around 1917, where many of their family members and descendants also live. In this photograph/postcard, Viola is estimated to be 16 or 17 years old, and wedding ring may be on left hand.
