Assessors valuation books with value of real and personal property, number of polls, taxes for Gypsy Moth collected and rates for province/state, county, town, and other taxes. In alphabetical listing format but names under each letter is any order and sometimes not under the correct letter as they were added later. No streets are listed with the surname. Non-residents owning land in Wayland but resided in another town are listed by name only at the end of each year. It shows the number of acreage owned and is listed under the town of residency. Starting in 1848, records show the City of Boston owns 120 acres and it lists who is renting and type of use for the acreage.
