Every year from 1920 Uttoxeter Girls' High School produced a chronicle of events at the school. Three members of the Mellor family of Uttoxeter Janet, married name Cruickshank, Margaret, married name Sheddick and Gwyneth attended the school where at one time their father Ernest Mellor, chemist, was Chairman of the Governors. This copy and copies of the following years of the Chronicle came into the possession of Geoffrey Sheddick son of Margaret Mellor who kindly allowed them to be scanned and reproduced here. The chronicles are an invaluable source for the history of UGHS, Family History research and the social history of Uttoxeter and the surrounding area.
