The Red Raven Library #04 [1905-02-04]. ("Defying The Sea Wolf; Or, Thad At Bay In The Powder Magazine" by "An Old Salt") The Red Raven Library was a dime novel published by The Winner Library Co. (an imprint of Street & Smith) which focused on "Stirring Tales of Old Buccaneer Days." 37 issues were published in 1905 before it changed its name to Paul Jones Weekly . Instead of pirates, the focus was now on fictional adventures of John Paul Jones , a real-life naval hero of the American Revolution. 19 issues were published before it finally folded in 1906.
