Section I of the present volume, the Essay on the Origin of the Prymer, is from the pen of Mr. Edmund Bishop, to whom the grateful thanks of our Society are due. For all other matter I am wholly responsible. Our thanks are also due to Mrs. Willett of Haywards Heath, for the kind loan of her valuable MS. York Prymer ; to Dr. Furnivall, who has punctuated the present volume; to the Eev.
