Digitised by Google Books from the collection at the University of Minnesota https://books.google.com/books?id=jtMgyI8M02UC Raised as the 1st Regiment of Punjab Infantry, became the 55th Coke's Rifles (Frontier Force) , then became 1st Battalion (Coke's), 13th Frontier Force Rifles. During the First World War, the Battalion served sent drafts as reinforcements to Indian Army units in France. In 1917 it was part of the Derajat Field Force in Waziristan, then went to East Africa, back to Waziristan, then Persia from late 1918 to April 1919, then again back to Waziristan.
