The Experiences of Native American Students in Higher Education

This work examines the lived experiences of Native American and Indigenous students in traditional (non-tribal) higher education institutions through narrative inquiry. The researcher gathers personal stories from Native students to understand their motivations, challenges, support systems, and cultural factors influencing academic success. It proposes solutions such as improving campus resources. Conclusions are situated within broader historical, political, and higher educational context relevant to access and persistence.
