MORNING PRAYERS. Have a fixed and early hour for rising, and let not sloth detain you in bed. Whilst dressing, entertain yourself with pious thoughts, and let all be done modestly and respectfully. If so much care is taken in adorning the body, and defending it from cold or heat, how much greater care should be taken in preparing the soul to appear in a becoming manner before God, and his Saints and Angels? It is a pious and most useful practice to make a general intention in the morning, to gain those indulgences that are attached by the Church, to any actions you may perform during the day. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen. Blessed be the Holy and undivided Trinity, now and for ever. Amen. THE LORD'S PRAYER. Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name : thy kingdom come : thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give ns this day our daily bread ; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive them that trespass against us ; and lead us not into temptation ; but deliver us from evil. Amen. Digitized by Google.
