A small album (18 x 12 cm.) of albumen cabinet cards depicting various scenes from around the Exposition Universelle (World's Fair) held in Paris in 1889. It depicts both interiors and exteriors of the palaces and halls and includes two views of the Eiffel tower. Numerous visitors to the exposition can be seen throughout. Each image is captioned and each caption is preceded by a number, the highest of which is 249, the lowest of which is 24, suggesting that these images may have been selected from a larger set or catalog of images for the purposes of this souvenir album
