About this book
Soldier Summit Terminal Railway Age 26 March 1920
Author: Railway Age
Year: 1920
Article describing the construction and layout of the new helper locomotive terminal built at Soldier Summit, Utah, by the Denver & Rio Grande railroad. This terminal was short lived, since it was located in the saddle at the summit of the Wasatch Mountains, harsh winters, deep snow and intense cold meant that the facilities were practically useless for several months out of the year, and it was quickly dismantled and returned to its original location in Helper. From Railway Age magazine, 26 March 1920.
