Rose R[achel] Pocock, Sketches of Bristol in the Olden Time (G. Davey, Broad St, Bristol, 1846) A set of lithographs created by Rose Pocock (1810-1879), illustrating aspects of Bristol's history. The portfolio of prints were loosely bound in the expectation that most purchasers would disassemble the collection and then hang the individual prints. Each sheet is 545 mm x 381 mm. This publication was digitised and uploaded by the Bristol Record Society . This was done in high resolution, which is why the pdf is 36 MB. If you wish to examine the images in detail, this is best done by downloading the pdf, rather than viewing the items in 'flip view'. The individual prints are also available as 30MB tiff files if you wish to access a file in the greatest-possible detail: North Porch of St Mary Redcliffe , The High Cross , St John's Gateway , Interior of Nicholas Street . The printed copy is now in Special Collections , University of Bristol. The publication was digitised for the Bristol Record Society by Jamie Carstairs.
