Issued by the New Mine Sapphire Syndicate. "Attractive brochure issued by the company to advertise its splendid blue gems cut from rough mined in Yogo Gulch, Montana. The frontispiece map shows the location of the mine in North America. The text begins with a discussion of sapphire in general, the "New Mine" in Montana, its location, history, mining & recovery methods, size of crystals, and notes on cutting and polishing. There are a series of color plates of jewelry set with the sapphires and two awards certificates. Two other color plates ahead of the text illustrate a rough crystal in matrix and several rows of cut gems in actual size. Photographs of the mine, its workings, etc, appear in the text.
