Records of the Derry Cemetery Association from 1852-1945 encompassing founding members/stakeholders, intention, meeting minutes and [p]lots. Members came together in 1852 to prepare a new cemetery "to the west of the Old Burying Ground." This became Forest Hill Cemetery in Derry, New Hampshire. The first secretary was Henry E. Eastman from 1852-1885. Book includes a few inserts, such as a decree from the superior court transferring the parcel of land from the Derry Cemetery Association to the Town of Derry in 1945 as well as notes regarding bequests for upkeep of particular plots. [P]lots included at the back identify owner, value and bounds. Original Association Members included Alanson Tucker, James W. Nesmith, H.E. Eastman, Stephen Pillsbury, James Taylor, Nathan M. Taylor, Benjamin Eastman, John Gregg, Samuel Wilson, J. Montgomery, George Shute, James Choate, Peter Horne, John Porter, John J. G. Dinsmore, Benjamin Kimball Lewis Bly and more.
