The papal encyclical, Quanta cura (Condemning Current Errors) was issued by Blessed Pope Pius IX on 8 December 1864. In it he decries significant errors afflicting the modern age revolving around secularism and indifferentism, which continue today. These errors were listed a supplement known as the Syllabus of Errors, which was attached to the encyclical. Both documents are presented here. Neither is very long, but both are profound in their discussion of the problems afflicting the Church and spiritual life today.
