This is a toy, novelties, pranks, magic, and puzzle catalog. It seems to be from the year 1913, as written on the cover. Written on the inside of the front cover is also the name 'Arthur H. Anderson'. The catalog was published by C. J. Felsman [Carl Johann Leo Felsman {September 22, 1890-January 9, 1916}], he was a magician, at the time of this publication he owned two stores. 'C.J. Felsman' 164 N. Clark Street {Main Store} 115 S. State Street ({Inside the} Palmer House Lobby) each product was illustrated by "Gossett", there is a description, a price, and item number starting at 2016 and going to 3031. His brother Arthur P. Felsman, also a magician, would take over the company after C.J. died of the flu, he would continue to publish the catalog. The toys were mostly made of wood and metal, and the puzzles had no solution or directions. Becuse according to the introduction, "The moment the working of a puzzle is explained, the article ceases to be a puzzzle." See within this book is an early version of the hand buzzer {Joy Buzzer}, page 14, prior to its US Patent, which wouldn't happen for nearly 2 decades.
