About this book

The New Education in Penmanship

Author: L. H. Hausam

Year: 1898

Louis Henry Hausam (1870-1941) was a brilliant calligrapher, who dominated penmanship pedagogy in the state of Kansas, where his penmanship books were used for many years in the school system. He had a national reputation too, particularly as a master of modern Business Penmanship. This book is considered by many to be "the greatest work of the kind ever published." That's debatable, but it certainly is a brilliant combination of theory and practice, with excellent illustrations and lots of practical advice.
