Pitblado, Charles Bruce: 1836-1913. From Nova Scotia; became Presbyterian clergyman; following tour of Canadian West accepted a call to St Andrew's Church, Winnipeg, 1881; chaplain with Canadian forces fighting Riel, 1885; accompanied Riel to Regina; became first pastor of Westminster Church, Winnipeg, 1893-1913; father of Isaac Pitblado. // S.C. Pitblado, C.B. Pitblado's wife, printed the sermons after her husband's death. The first sermon, "Last sermon in Westminster (Old) Church" was delivered by Rev. Pitblado on June 9, 1912; the second, "An undelivered sermon of Rev. C.B. Pitblado," is paginated continuously.
