A scrapbook of Princeton history that includes local news about people and events from 1950 to 1979. Included is the 50th Anniversary booklet of the Farmer's Savings Bank, that tells the history of the bank from 1908 to 1958. There is information about Boll's General Merchandise and the people who owned it. Also included are the Articles of Incorporation, the By-Laws, and the "Certificate As to Issue of Capital Stock" of the LeClaire Princeton Telephone Exchanges, dated 1956, and signed by its directors, Russell and Evonda Enyeart. There is information about the old stone school in Princeton, built in 1866, but still being used as a school in the 1960s, as part of the newly formed North Scott School District. In January of 1967 the students helped move from the old stone school to the brand new Virgil Grissom Elementary. The scrapbook also includes a map showing the small rural schoolhouses still being used in 1963 as the North Scott school board was working to decide where to build new schools.
