Leather bound photo album with cardboard framed pages. This album dates from the 1870s, and shows significant wearing along the edges and the spine. The pages are held together in an accordion fashion, but between pages 26 and 27, the pages are split apart, and the interior of the spine is visible. There was a metal clasp at one time, but the bottom part is missing now. The clasp section is still visible on the front cover. Inside the front cover, on the right side, there is a message written in cursive blue ink that states: "#2621 Photograph album of Leinenweber Family of Astoria 1900 - fine Presby church helper. brought to museum by Rev. Bauerveldt, minister at Clatsop Plains church, Warrenton - found among old books and papers as Rev. Bauerveldt is retiring from Cat Plains church 3-19-1974." A few more pages into the album, there is a page titled "Index" with numbered lines and some names are written there in cursive. There is also a paper copy of the index that has been enlarged and folded. Size of album: 5" x 6"
