About this book
Pikeville Junior College Catalogue
Year: 1929
The University of Pikeville catalogs supply a brief historical outline of the school, a review of the faculty, course work and programs, and information on campus life and costs. The Pikeville Collegiate Institute was established in 1889 by the Presbyterian Church. It later became a junior college, and eventually a four-year undergraduate institution known as Pikeville College. The Pikeville College School of Medicine was opened in 1997 and Pikeville College became the University of Pikeville (UPIKE) in 2011. This prompted the medical school to change its name to Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine (KYCOM), and in 2016 the Kentucky College of Optometry (KYCO) was founded.
