London: Putney Press Ltd., 1919. — 143 p. Nikolay Nordman held the position of Director of the Economic Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Provisional Government of A.F. Kerensky for several months. Before that, he served in the navy as a senior lieutenant, then became a court counselor, and later an official of the maritime department. Nordman graduated from Moscow and St. Petersburg Polytechnic Institutes, participated in the Russo-Japanese War, and spent several months in Japanese captivity. He studied political economy under the guidance of P.B. Struve. For his book "The Application of Statistics in the Study of History," Nordman was awarded a prize from the Academy of Sciences. In 1912-1913, he was a representative of the Ministry of Trade and Industry in the Interdepartmental Radiotelegraph Committee. He emigrated in 1918, and spent some time in Britain. In 1919 Nordman presented a report at the Russian Political Conference in Paris. He worked later in Sweden, Norway, and England as the Chief Secretary of the Blockade Committee (R .E.S.), which dealt with issues of rationing neutral countries' foreign trade during the British Naval Blockade of Germany.
