The booklet is Bulletin No. 225 written by "Agricultural Experiment Station, Iowa State College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts, C.F. Curtiss, Director, Horticultural and Forestry Truck Crops Section, Ames, Iowa" The bulletin briefly describes the early history of onion farming in the Pleasant Valley area, but the majority of the information is about the process of growing onions.
