One of two volumes of notes on the the institutes and practice of medicine lectures of Benjamin Rush, circa 1810. These notes correspond to others from the period 1809-1811 almost word-for-word. Volume 1 contains sections on pathology, therapeutics, and the practice of medicine. From the published "Rush's syllabus to this course, printed in sixteen introductory lectures," (call no. Da 189) it appears that these notes cover only part of the course, which consisted of physiology, pathology, therapeutics, and practice. Section on physiology not here present.
