Scrapbooks include information on Nantucket people, history, politics, literature, celebrations, and organizations. Nantucket scrapbook An early 19th century account book pasted over with newspaper clippings including the front page of "Mirror" from March 26, 1856, with article on genealogy by Benjamin Franklin Folger and pasted-in, handwritten (not official) crew list of ship "Essex," which includes name of Black sailor (Henry De Wit/De Witt/Dewitt) listed as a "runaway". Materials in this collection were digitized with support from Connie and Tom Cigarran.
