Map - Salt Lake & Utah, Utah Railway, Denver & Rio Grande Interlocking, Springville Utah

Author: Salt Lake & Utah Railroad

Year: 1916

Map of the Salt Lake & Utah (an electric interurban) right of way crossing the Denver & Rio Grande and Utah Railway mainlines on Main Street in Springville, Utah, between 1916 and 1935. As a latecomer, the SL&U was required to build an interlocking tower at this location to control the crossings. This map is part of the John West Collection of Utah Railway engineering documents. Acquisition was made possible through donations from Mark Hemphill and Joshua Bernhard. Digitization was facilitated through a grant from the Rocky Mountain Railroad Club and assistance from the Brigham Young University Harold B. Lee Library.
