Letter to James Goldie (1824-1912) from David Goldie (1832-1894) concerning the lending of a drawing horse/wagon and update about David's leg injury. Dated July 22, 1868. "July 22, 1868 Dear Brother, I think you can have one of our driving horses & a light waggon [sic] for a month or two. You will require to send down for it. One of the boys might come down & take it up. John or Jamie could come down tomorrow. I have had a bad time with my leg, not having been able to go to bed for a week. It has now broke & a good matter has come from it. If the bone is not affected it may not be so bad, but if the bone is diseased it may be serious. I am very anxious the place here could be sold, as it is a great chance if I will be able to attend to the business. If any of the boys are coming for the horse they could get from Galt with the mail carrier at six o'clock in the evening. Your aff. brother D. Goldie"
