Francis F. Claussen, assayer of the United States Mint at New Orleans, La., writes to James Curtis Booth (1810-1888) to request that a Mr. Connor, who is minting coins for Honduras, be allowed to tour the Mint's facilities in Philadelphia. James Curtis Booth (1810-1888) was Melter & Refiner at the United States Mint in Philadelphia. The James Booth papers are held by the Science History Institute in Philadelphia.
