10" x 12" black canvas covered photo album with black paper pages inside. Album belonged to Leonard Emil Larsen Spande (1894-1983). His father was Helge Andreas "Henry" Larsen Spande (1858-1925) who married Emilie Nikkoline Rask Spande (1868-1956) on August 24, 1893. They had two children: Leonard and Ruth Christine Larsen Spande Atwood (1896-1983). Henry changed his last name to his hometown, Spande, Norway. He was a "paper hanger." He built the house on 3682 Franklin Avenue where this album was found by current owners Ken and Mary Thompson. Leonard was a physical director at the Y.M.C.A. which is greatly featured in this album. He was also an assistant Scoutmaster in the Boy Scouts.
