Lectures include such topics as “Concussion, and Overwhelming Shock,” “On Diseases of the Brain,” “Chronic Rheumatism,” and “Midwifery.” Dr. Biggs graduated from Jefferson Medical College in 1836 and practiced medicine in Sharpsburg, MD. He also served as the general superintendant of the Antietam National Cemetery during its construction.
