Preface to 1918 reprint: "Only three copies of the original volume of Carey's Manitoba reports are known to exist.… As the first volume of law reports printed and published in the Canadian Northwest, the volume is of some interest…. The present edition is limited to two hundred numbered copies." The claim of only three copies extant is a function of limited communication. For French version see Peel 747.
