Delivered to Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK) for service between Japan, Europe and South-America. 30/8/1938: - R equisitioned by the Imperial Japanese Army (IJA). Allocated Army vessel number 676 26/12/1938: - Returned to owner NYK 23/8/1941 - R equisitioned by the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) as a General Purpose Vessel. 10/4/1942: - Service as Troop Transport 21/1/1943: - Converted to Emergency Tanker (Special Transport Ship Refueling) 3/12/1943: - Sunk after torpedoattack by SS-283 USS Tinosa at 06°34N, 131°40E while en route from Balikpapan to Truk.
