Sentor Sherman, speaking in he Senate to-day, said he was opposed to the free coinage of silver. A crowded meeting was held at the Mansion House to-day at which it was resolved to appeal. Mr. W. H. Smith and a majority of his colleagues on the Ministry desiring to shelve the Irish Land Bill. The members of the Senate who advocate free coinage have resolved to abandon the extreme. A monster procession from the Thames Embankment to Hyde Park will take place.
