Parts of original 1899 building came down around 1963 to make room for the large new seven story wing that was opened in 1965 and which still stands. Around 1975 more came down because it was no longer usable for patients. This is when they opened the corner stone from the 1899 building. Then in 1984 the 1929 building which housed the skilled nursing home came down. That is when the chapel which was housed in the 1923 building came down as well. The building that opened in 1985 holds the current chapel. To make way for the 1985 building, the last pieces of the 1899 building near the kitchen were demolished.
