Latcher, Edinburg, Saratoga County, New York, dated August 28, 1874, and signed by Commissioner of Patents Mortimer D. Leggett. The form appears to be Patent Office Form No. 10 of March 1871. I have been unable to identify a patent for this; it may have never issued. Provenance: part of a set of papers from the inventor's attorney, John W. Latcher, purchased on Ebay in 2025.
