It is handsomely adorned with pretty flowers and shrubberies and its homes rank among the finest of Windsor."; the Essex County War Memorial was designed by George F. Masson to remember those who died in World War I; it was unveiled on November 11th, 1924. It was originally located at the intersection of Giles Boulevard and Ouellette Avenue, facing Ouellette Avenue.
