About this book

George Washington Carver and Tuskegee Weather Data / June 1908

Year: 1908

The observations were noted on U.S. Weather Bureau Form no. 1009. The form originally had the title Voluntary observers' meteorological record. Later the title changed to Cooperative observers' meteorological record, then Climatological observers meterological record and was revised in 1948 as the Monthly record of climatological observations. The observer recorded daily observations of minimum and maximum temperature, precipitation, prevailing wind direction, general character of the weather for that day, any remarks on the day's weather, and the signature of the observer. Weather Bureau staff later added calculations of monthly means and totals based on the observations.
