George on the left is looking down at Sandy. Andy on the right is looking to the right. Other information written on the back in cursive pencil: "from Chas Halderman Photo Album Original in AGCC Hist Collection." George Junor was the first greenskeeper for the Astoria Golf and Country Club in 1923. He worked closely with Charles Halderman, first president, to lay the course out North to South between the sand dunes. He had come from working at the Waverly course in Portland. He was born in 1882 in Scotland, and passed away in 1947 in Portland. His brother Andrew worked at the Molalla course. They were brothers from a family that worked with golf courses all around Northwest Coastal Oregon, southwest Washington, and Portland/Vancouver areas.
