There are 12 young women with short hairstyles; 10 are sitting on either side of the Reverend in the front row, and 2 are standing - one on each side. All the girls are wearing white dresses. There are 20 young men, all standing in the back two rows. Most are wearing ties, but there are two with bow ties. The group is posed in front of the painting Christ Preaching at the Sea of Galilee. There are two triangular windows behind them, and many potted plants. The pulpit is on the left side of the photo. There is a carpet runner in the center of the aisle. Based on Reverend Korhonen, we know that this was taken in the sanctuary of the Finnish Evangelical Church located on 18th Street. The physical photograph is matted in a gray cardboard that has several stains and some discoloration. There are two typed lists of people taped to the back; one on each side of the photo so that they can be flipped back and forth. There are several blanks in the list of names, as someone was attempting to put the names written on the back in photo order.
