About this book
Drawing - Utah Railway Girder Bridge, Spring Canyon Branch
Author: Utah Railway Company
Year: 1926
Engineering drawing for a steel girder bridge on the Utah Railway. While the map is labeled in ink on the backside as "Spring Canyon," details of the drawing indicate that it is actually the smaller Gordon Creek bridge crossing the yards of the Consumers Mutual Coal Company tipple. This bridge was demolished when the branch was abandoned. This drawing is part of the John West Collection of Utah Railway engineering documents. Acquisition was made possible through donations from Mark Hemphill and Joshua Bernhard. Digitization was facilitated through a grant from the Rocky Mountain Railroad Club and assistance from the Brigham Young University Harold B. Lee Library.
