This handwritten record book starts with a list of original library subscribers from 1848. It follows with a list organized by first letter of the last name of organizations and individuals who gave books, dates given, and the titles donated. Pages 150-152 list works of art donated, who donated it, sometimes the size of the piece and the medium used. Page 160 includes "Geological and mineral specimens: Indian relics, etc. :Collection originates in 1879"; Donation of pamphlets starts on p. 200. Toward the end of the book, some printed copies of the Librarian's Report have been clipped and pasted in. General Note Donors include Lydia Maria Child, John Burt Wight and James Sumner Draper, among others. Page 109 includes seven titles of the first ever package delivered to Wayland using the Mass Central Railroad which opened on October 1, 1889. They were given by Elbridge E. Smith.
