This is an English translation of selected grape variety descriptions found in tomes V-VI (1904-1905) of Traité général de viticulture; ampélographie (published in seven tomes 1901-1910). Varieties from tome V: Othello, Noah, Canada, Triumph, Elvira, Autuchon, Isabella. Varieties from tome VI: Concord, Ives, Delaware, Herbemont, Cunningham, Cynthiana, Catawba, Jacquez. Written inside: "Description of Varieties of Grapes – taken from – “Traite General de Viticulture” Ampelographie. Published under the direction of P. Viala & V. Vermorel, assisted by many others. Vol.VI. Paris, 1903." The date of 1903 indicated in this typescript seems to be an obvious mistake as tomes V-VI were published in 1904-1905. Digitized by Cornell's Frank A.
