Partial logbook of a whaling voyage to the Atlantic, Indian, and Pacific Oceans. Includes descriptions of whales seen and taken, accidents, a death at sea, illnesses, punishments, and desertions. Also contains whale stamps, profile views, and poems. One man fell overboard and drowned on July 10, 1845. The keeper reported a fight onboard and the participants punished on March 23, 1846. The keeper reported stove whaleboats and repairs made to them in November 1846. One whaleboat was stove by a whale on August 15, 1847. Other places represented include Leary Bay (Maui, Hawaii) and Resolution Bay (Marquesas). Whaling grounds include the Western Islands, Desolation, On the Line, Hawaiian, Northwest Coast, and New Zealand grounds.
