The Colton Letters, from Collis Huntington to David Colton. In the course of a lawsuit in Santa Rosa, California, Mrs Colton entered these letters in evidence, to support her claim that Central Pacific Railroad owed her money. A Constitutional Republic as it happens; or, as Rush Limbaugh was fond of saying, American Exceptionalism in practice. Mr. Huntington was John Galt long before Lisa Rosenbaum had a wet dream and shrugged Atlas. Published by the San Francisco Chronicle and also by Charles Cyrel Post (1846-1906), one time editor of the Chicago Saturday Express.
