The diary and letters of Clark Arnett Taylor from June 1916 to March 1917 cover his time with the Florida National Guard in training at the Florida State Military Camp, Black Point, Florida (on the St. Johns River near Jacksonville, later taken over by the U.S. Army during World War I and renamed Camp Joseph E. Johnston); and his unit's deployment for service at Laredo, Texas during the Mexican Border War with Pancho Villa's forces. The diary and letters were transcribed by Clark's daughter Judy Taylor Prisley in 2000.
