Valuation section California 12 Sacramento Shops Interstate Commerce Commission, Division of Valuation, "Cost Data" Forms, Circa 1910 to 1929. Data varies by form (type of material or equipment purchased). Collection includes several hundred forms prepared by Central Pacific Railroad valuation clerks as support documentation for the cost data about the Sacramento Shops as supplied to the ICC pursuant to ICC Valuation Order No. 14. Apparently, clerks went through actual purchase orders to come up with the specific costs for materials and equipment for the period 1910 to 1929. Form 243 shows rates of compensation for various classifications of employees. These records are part of the National Archives and Records Administration, Record Group 134, Records of the Interstate Commerce Commission. Many of the structures photographed and documented in Book 2 are Sacramento dwellings in addition to Central Pacific Sacramento Shops buildings.
