The set of all propositions forms a complete lattice (a mathematical structure where every subset has a greatest lower bound and least upper bound). In classical logic: AND (∧) corresponds neatly to the lattice operation “meet.” OR (∨) corresponds to the lattice operation “join,” but in quantum logic this correspondence breaks down. Distributivity (the rule that ? ∧ ( ? ∨ ? ) = ( ? ∧ ? ) ∨ ( ? ∧ ? ) ) holds in classical Boolean logic but fails in quantum logic.
