In letter Young expresses concern for Church, his wife, and his family. Letter includes references to his daughter Vilate; Augusta Cobb Adams in Lynn, Massachusetts; and Erastus Snow's speaking abilities. Letter from Terre Haute, Indiana, describes travels with Heber C. Kimball through Illinois and Indiana on their way to England. Letter includes details of his sickness, concerns for his family, and faith. Also includes references to his brother Lorenzo D. Young, Lebbeus T. Coons, and Dr. James Modisett. Letters written to his wife, Mary Ann Angell Young, 18 Oct. 1839 and 8 July 1844.
